What is a CT Scan?
Preparation:
CT Scans are Noninvasive procedures that only take seconds to perform. Preparation for CT scans vary, once your procedure is scheduled, our scheduler will provide all prep instructions and answer any questions you may have.
Sometimes referred to as a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) scan, CT uses special X-rays to obtain detailed cross-sectional images of body tissues and organs. These images enable radiologists to examine the body one thin portion at a time to assist in making a diagnosis and determine appropriate treatment. CT Scans are routinely used to evaluate Head/Neck, Cardiac Imaging, Chest/Abdomen/Pelvis, Urograms, Enterography, Spine and Bone & Joints.
Lourdes Imaging Associates’ top priority is our patients. That’s why we have invested in the latest technology for the low dose CT Scanners available.
